Smut Slam Baltimore: April Showers

"Wet." The word even sounds sexy. As gray winter gives way to the lushness of spring, libidos rise like sap in blooming trees, tempting us with thoughts of warm days spent cooling off in the water...and then making it steamy. Put a spring in your step with an evening of splashy stories that'll have droplets trickling down our faces AND our cocktail glasses!

Our theme for April is "April Showers", celebrating all things juicy, slick, and just plain WET. Tell us how your morning shower a deux made you late to work that day. Give us the blow-by-blow on the toy that finally got you to squirt. Regale us with the breathless romance of a sexy frolic in a rain-swept field. Don't be shy-- tell us if you struck gold in your shower explorations. We want to hear all the ways you've been super-soaked.

(Not familiar with Smut Slam? It’s a storytelling open mic where audience members sign up for 5-minute slots to tell their best real-life, first-person, consensual sex stories. It’s queer-friendly, kink-friendly, lifestyle-friendly, body-positive, sex-positive, and wildly fun. No costumes, no notes, no gimmicks, just straight-up raw truth! See the full rules and how it works on our Rules of the Road page.)

As always, we have the Fuckbucket where audience members can throw in anonymous confessions or questions to enter the free raffle for a smutty prize. All storytellers will get a little swag bag to reward their courage, and we've got some fabulous storytelling prize packs on tap for our top three tellers, too—you could win a sexy little something to keep the party going at home!

Your fabulous femme-cee is longtime Smut Slam Baltimore/DC producer and burlesque performer Diva Darling, joined by a panel of local celebrity judges who love to sit in the splash zone.

Join us before the show to enjoy light pub fare and sample the decadent cocktail and mocktail menu. Get your copy of Anonymous Sex, the Smut Slam International book edited and signed by Diva.

Tickets: $15 early bird, $20 presale, $25 door

(want to give back to your community? Can't make the show, but want to help others attend? Choose the "contribute to gift tickets" option to fund community tickets for those in economic hardship! Gift tickets are made available as they're funded, no questions asked-- please only take one if you actually need it and if not, save them for those who do. We especially encourage federal workers who are on administrative leave or fired to enjoy a gift ticket, so please consider supporting them!)

Doors: 7:00pm
Show: 8:00pm

Hosted and Produced by: Diva Darling

Diva Darling is the producer and femme-cee of the standing-room-only sex-themed storytelling show Smut Slam DC, and now of Smut Slam Baltimore. Put your knowledge to the test and compete against friends and fellow trivia enthusiasts for the chance to win exciting prizes. With a wide range of categories and questions that will keep you on your toes, our trivia night is guaranteed to be a memorable experience.

How does it work?
Greg's Shitty Trivia Night is a super fun take on bar/pub trivia. It's free to play and you can win nightly (and monthly) prizes. Teams are encouraged but not required.

FAQ

  • How much does it cost?
It's FREE to all paying customers. We kindly ask you to always support the restaurant/bar by purchasing drinks & food.

  • Are there prizes?
Yes! We give away gift certificates to the winners (usually 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place depending on number of participating teams). All venues also give away a monthly prize & trophy to the team with the most points at the end of the month. Prizes are subject to change.

  • Are your weekly trivia nights themed?
Nope! Our weekly trivia nights have no specific theme. You can expect questions about almost anything... movies, tv, geography, history, math, science, music, arts, entertainment, current events, government, law, pop culture, and strippers.

  • Seating at trivia:
Seating is first come, first serve. If you've ever been to one of our trivia nights before, then you know how busy they get! Get there early for seating; we run out of tables/chairs quickly! There are no reservations.

  • Do you use the same questions every week?
We design our trivia nights to cater to people who come to the same location every week. We can guarantee that if you stick to one venue, you'll get fresh questions every week.

  • Where do you get your questions from?
I, Greg Parker (CEO/Founder/Janitor), write all the questions from scratch. I'm a weird guy. Things get weird.

Bluegrass Jam

Bluegrass Jam

Ken & Brad Kolodner lead the Baltimore Old Time Jam from every other Tuesday night 7-10pm. The first hour of the jam will be a "slow jam" so anyone can hop in and play along at a moderate tempo. From 8-10pm, they'll kick up the tempo for the "fast jam." Imagine a sea of fiddles, banjos, guitars and more all swelling together in a chorus of joyous tunes!

About the venue - The Green Room is a gorgeous event space with wonderful acoustics, a cozy vibe, plenty of room for the jammers and viewers, great drinks of all sorts (beer, wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic options) and awesome food. It is the former location of De Kleine Duivel, a Belgian beer hall. They host a Django jazz jam on Monday nights. For you long-term jammers, it evokes the best of Liam Flynn's and Five & Dime combined.

On the opposite Tuesdays, Alex Lacquement & Friends will lead the Baltimore Bluegrass Jam from 7-10pm for a jam featuring bluegrass songs and instrumentals. Come with a song or two to lead - or just show up and jam along.

Best of all, the jam is FREE! & open to all ages

Doors open at 5pm, with Happy Hour from 5-6:30pm!

Smut Slam Baltimore: Service

If the event is not sold out by 7pm on the day of the show, you can buy tickets at the door. At-door tickets are $25. NOTE: The show has begun selling out in presales so advance purchase is strongly recommended!

"At your service." "As you wish." "How can I serve you?" Have sexier words ever been uttered? Coffee delivered to bed the morning after a lusty hookup, the chance to sink back on the pillows and receive, a boot polished to mirror shine-- serving and being served makes us feel luxurious, adored, blissful. Let's raise our glasses as we thank our lovers and booty calls for their service.

Our theme for March is "Service", inspired by the desire to welcome our federal worker friends into a space that offers delight, decompression, and deep appreciation. Bonus: It's also Smut Slam Baltimore's first birthday celebration-- who's ready to bury their face in them birthday cakes? Come make some noise at our party with your get-it-gurl stories of "I got this". Tell us how you got wild with that park ranger in a national monument. We want to hear all the decadent ways you've had pleasure served up steamy.

Your fabulous femme-cee is longtime Smut Slam Baltimore/DC producer and burlesque performer Diva Darling, joined by a panel of local celebrity judges (TBA) who are thrilled to be at your service.

Join us before the show to enjoy light pub fare and sample the decadent cocktail and mocktail menu. Get your copy of Anonymous Sex, the Smut Slam International book edited and signed by Diva.

Tickets: $15 early bird, $20 presale, $25 door
